Dani Meisner

Dani Meisner is a queer writer, composer and director with a passion for music and authentic storytelling. Growing up in a family immersed in theatre, Dani was drawn to the power of story. They discovered their love for film while in a high school Media Arts program, which led them to pursue a BFA in film at Sheridan College.
While at Sheridan, Dani directed two short documentaries: "Kathrine" a heartwarming story about their grandma's childhood adoption, and "Formless," their first major project, which explores the trans experience in an honest and raw way. Dani also composed music for "Formless" and a number of other short films.
As a queer & non-binary filmmaker, Dani is committed to telling stories that are often under-represented in mainstream media.
